Aion 2: Deleting Characters Without Losing Progress
In Aion 2, deleting a character permanently wipes all progression, inventory, and quest history tied to that avatar. But not everything is lost—account-wide unlocks, premium purchases, and items safely stored in shared warehouses remain untouched. Understanding the difference is key if you want to clean up your roster without losing hard-earned rewards. What You Will Lose Permanently
Character Progression: Levels, storyline quests, and explored regions vanish once the deletion is complete.
Personal Inventory: Any gear, weapons, or materials stored on that character are gone.
Soulbound Items: Gear bound specifically to your avatar cannot be transferred or salvaged elsewhere.
What Stays Safe on Your Account
Account Achievements: Badges, total playtime records, and other global milestones are untouched.
Premium Purchases: Cosmetics, titles, and vanity items bought via the cash shop remain available for your other characters.
Shared Storage: Items stored in the Account Warehouse or Guild Island Chest can be retrieved by any character on your account.
How to Delete a Character Safely
Strip Your Character: Unequip all gear, weapons, and vanity items.
Filter Soulbound Items: Check gear properties—items marked as “Soulbound” cannot move to other characters. Consider breaking down or discarding anything you won’t use.
Use Shared Storage: Deposit all tradeable equipment, upgrade stones, and crafting materials in the Account Bank or Guild Bank.
Initiate Deletion: Go to the character selection screen, select the avatar, and click “Delete.”
Confirm & Wait: Enter the required confirmation phrase. A safety cooldown is enforced, giving you a chance to cancel if you reconsider.
By following these steps, you can free up character slots, declutter your roster, and start fresh without losing valuable account-wide progress or purchased items. A little preparation goes a long way in protecting what matters most.
