I didn't even plan to reroll on reset night, but Season 13 hit and I caved. Servers popped on Feb 20, I made a Warlock, and I was swinging within minutes. If you're the kind of player who likes to line things up early—mule plans, starter trades, the whole routine—having a bookmark for diablo 2 resurrected items buy doesn't hurt, especially when the market's moving fast and you're trying not to waste a whole evening in chat.
Why Warlock Feels Different
The new Reign of the Warlock stuff changed how I usually approach the first week. I skipped the old "teleport or fall behind" mindset and leaned into Echoing Strike with a Chaos tree angle. It's a weird kind of satisfying—levitating a two-hander while you're still clutching a grimoire in the off-hand. The summons do the dirty work, you keep moving, and you don't need perfect rolls to function. You'll notice it right away in Hell: fewer stalls, fewer "I guess I'll kite for 20 seconds," more straight-up clears.
Runs That Actually Pay Off
The drop luck has been unreal, but what surprised me more is how the new content rewards playing aggressive instead of playing safe. I snagged a Ber in Chaos Sanctuary right after hitting 68, off a random pack, after a sweaty 30-minute clear. Then I got nerdy and tracked a bunch of Terrorized Pit of Acheron runs. With the new consumables letting you trigger TZs, I just chained Acheron on players 5. About 50 runs, roughly four minutes each, and I walked out with a Jah, a Vex, and a Sur. On top of that, those new grimoire uniques show up constantly there, which keeps the loop feeling fresh instead of like you're pulling a slot lever.
The Colossal Ancients Trick
Endgame-wise, the Colossal Ancients are a whole different vibe. I fed them more deaths than I want to admit, but I started noticing a pattern. When I speed-clear all four guardians in under 90 seconds, the loot feels like it "opens up" and starts spitting extra uniques. Slow clears? Mostly garbage. Fast clears? I saw Bane's Garments and a Hellwarden's Will mask drop back-to-back. It still takes me around eight minutes per run once you include resets and setup, but if your Warlock AoE is dialed in, it's worth the stress.
Economy, Shortcuts, and Staying Sane
Right now the early ladder economy is starving for high runes, and the new runewords are a big reason—Void is nasty for casters. The quality-of-life stuff helps too: loot filters and extra stash tabs mean you're playing the game, not doing inventory Tetris at 3 a.m. And if you're burned out or just want to test the wild Warlock endgame setups without turning the ladder into a second job, grabbing a few starter pieces through U4GM can save a ton of time while you focus on routing, practice, and actually learning the fights.
