Most runs on Blue Gate feel routine until the Locked Gate timer hits, and then it's like somebody flipped the whole lobby into panic mode. It only shows up twice a day, so people plan their sessions around it, load in early, and start hoarding space for whatever drops next. If you're trying to prep, it helps to know what you actually need from the start—check your ammo, make room in your pack, and have a rough idea of what you'd want to keep or ditch once the doors open. I usually keep a quick reference list of ARC Raiders Items in mind so I'm not wasting seconds staring at loot like it's a menu.
How the codes really workThe objective sounds simple: get four Security Codes and slot them into the Gate Control Room near Warehouse Complex. What trips people up is that it's shared progress. Everyone in the match is pushing the same counter. That's great when other squads are doing the dirty work, but it also means you can lose the race even if you're playing well. A good approach is to commit to one zone first, hit it hard, then rotate if you come up empty. If your squad splits, keep comms short. Call "code" and the area name, nothing fancy. You've got a 40-minute window, but it doesn't feel like it once the fighting starts.
Where to search without wasting your lifeThe codes don't sit in fixed spawns, so you're basically gambling with containers in four places. Start with Ancient Fort if you're confident with mine awareness—don't bother with the puzzle room, just skim regular crates and keep moving. Next is Raider's Refuge, where the best mindset is "break every sealed bin" because codes love hiding in plain-looking metal boxes. Third, Reinforced Reception is the odd one: the trashcans inside the building pop more often than you'd expect, so don't skip the boring stuff. Fourth, Pilgrim's Peak is the danger pick. Two Rocketeers tend to own the high ground. You can't charm them. Take long shots, or toss a lure to drag them off-angle while you sweep containers fast and leave.
Running the code to the Control RoomOnce you've got a code, the match changes. The walk to the Gate Control Room is where most runs die, because squads love to sit quiet and wait for footsteps. Don't stroll in like you own the place. Clear the doorway, check corners, and have one teammate hold the entrance while the other interacts with the wall console. If you're solo, you've got to fake people out—pause, listen, then commit. When the fourth code goes in and the outer doors open, don't hang around celebrating. Sprint straight down, aim for Security Wing and Breach Room, and expect third parties within seconds. If you're still gearing up for these rushes, a bit of cheap ARC Raiders gear can make the difference between taking the fight and backing off too early.
